The community of West Oak Trails is family neighborhood comprised of newer detached homes and townhomes built throughout a naturally occurring green belt. The area is aptly named because there are so many walking and cycling paths throughout the community.
West Oak Trails lies within north-west Oakville and is bounded by Dundas St. and Rural Oakville to the north, 16 Mile Creek and River Oaks to the east, Bronte Road and Palermo West to the west and Upper Middle Road and Glen Abbey to the south. West Oak Trails is located close to both Highway 407 and the QEW which allows for easy access to commuting within the GTA. The area is serviced by Oakville Transit, by which one can also access the Bronte GO Train Station. The area also contains a variety of schools: pre-schools, daycares, primary and secondary, public and Catholic.
West Oak Trails is close to shopping, restaurants and recreational amenities as well as the new Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. With its convenient location and newer homes, West Oak Trails is much a sought-after neighborhood.
